Its real easy to be an Athlete first and a student second.

It takes a real Athlete to be a student first

"Reggie Beard"

This page will display the honors and colleges the seniors attained this year along with the existing college athletes that are in the program. The all had outstanding years and they all will be attending college in the fall to continue their education and athletic dreams at the next level.

Mark Tyson another interesting story he transferred from Appalachian State where he was on a partial wrestling scholarship. He wanted to play football so he transferred to Temple where he walked on. He is now starting Fullback for the Temple Owls. Since I have written this little caption on Marks walk-on journey, as of 4/16/14 in a team meeting held by the head coach at Temple University it was announced that he will be put on full scholarship for the remainder of his time at Temple! Patience and an unbelievable work ethic has earned him a free education and the privilege of playing football at the Div I level. Great job!!

Ibrahim (Ish)Mosaad  and outstanding Quarterback ran into the same issue Donnell did at Westfield. He too transferred to Edison HS and competed furiously for the starting spot. Learning a new offense was not easy however he led Edison to two crucial victories that propelled the team to the best season in several years. Ish is still deciding what schools will be the best fit for him.  Since writing this caption on Ish he will be attending college in North Dakota and will competing for the quarterback position. Good job!!!

Donnell Wright an interesting story. Played at Westfield High School a year ago. Did not get any playing time there. Instead of placing him at receiver they placed him at Defensive End and never gave him a shot to earn playing time at receiver. He transfers to Edison High School here in Jersey earns him a starting spot and played his first season as a varsity football player. Caught 22 passes for 200 plus yards and is heading to the University of Nebraska. Not bad for one year of varsity football.

Kyle Boyd Tucker and outstanding Senior season making All Middlesex County on Defense and was also voted Top 100 football players in New Jersey. He will be attending American International College.

Charles Arnold Sophomore at Rochester Community Technical College will be attending Rhode Island University. Charles's road to college has been a rocky one at best. having been to one prep school and his second JUCO Charles will be heading to Rhode Island as a preferred walk-on which in my opinion is an absolute joke. However from the first day he steps foot on that field he will earn him a starting spot at running back. I state my football reputation on it. His work ethic is unmatchable, he is extremely coachable. he is 5'11 and 195lbs and he runs a legit 4.38 forty, legit. before its all over he will leave a serious mark on Rhode Island. There has been a new development in the Charles Arnold Saga. He has decided to forego his acceptance to play for Rhode Island and will be taking his talents to Hampton University. Charles will be on a full ride and will be competing for the starting running back position. However I firmly believe there will be no competition at all. As sure as I am writing this there is no doubt he will be running that ball for the Pirates!!!

Aqeel Daniels had an outstanding senior season making the All Middlesex County Team on Offense. Aqeel will be taking his talents to Wagner College in Staten Island New York.
